I have a Canon Rebel T3i that I use with the stock lens kit. I do prefer to take photos of people so I've looked into buying a lens with a wide aperture so I can get a more shallow depth-of-field (I love those shots), but I'm trying to save a bit of money for now.

I recommend the used camera market for all my friends. They're expensive but when you buy used you can get a good amount off for a camera with nothing wrong, and often people will include their camera case or memory cards or extra lenses as a bundle!

I will have to say that camera's are very expensive. There is one I have been looking at myself that I would really love which is similar to my Dad's and after seeing him use his and the picture quality from his I would love to get one the same. I just have a basic camera right now myself which does the trick however for what I really want to do I really need a better one. Hopefully one day I will have that chance but I feel I may have to win the lottery first.

Only one I have right now is a little Nikon Coolpix L4 not a bad little camera. Though I have to admit I have not used it in a while my excursions have been fairly limited especially with this crazy winter we are having down South....On the flip side I am buying a new camera this weekend been procrastinating  long enough time to bite the bullet.

Which one are you thinking of getting this weekend?

I recently helped a friend buy one and we found a neat deal you can take advantage of. If you buy at Best Buy they give you great discounts on their lenses in the same order, and you can Price Match with Amazon while still taking advantage of Best Buy's lens discount, so you can get a bundle fairly cheap!

I think the T3i's biggest flaw is that the shutter is loud. If that's not a problem for you then it's a wonderful choice.
