HTML was the first language I learned and heard of. Basic HTML is easy enough to learn and remember, but once you start getting to the advanced things, it becomes really hard. I'd say I'm pretty decent with HTML, but haven't picked up on the advanced things yet. How good/familiar are you with HTML?

I'm very comfortable with HTML and I'd recommend learning it to anyone looking to get into web design. It's not too difficult to learn and it's paramount for understanding the design of web pages.
I tutored some web design students at my university on HTML and I can see how it's tricky to pick up on at the beginning, but I think it's a great backbone to understand before entering the field.
