Best smartphone for photography?

Which smart phones take the best pictures? 

I just got a new phone a couple of weeks ago.  I have the Samsung Galaxy Mega and it takes excellent photo's.  It's not that I didn't like my old phone, it's just that my old phone didn't have a long battery life (or it seem to not last very long anyway).  I hate being in the middle of something and my phone die on me because my battery doesn't last.  I could use up half my battery life just taking a few photo's on my old phone.  So for that reason, I like taking pictures on my new phone. 

I'm very happy with the iPhone 5S camera. Photos are detailed and sharp and colors look very natural. Details can be seen even in dark scenes without flash, and the true-tone flash is phenomenal (it actually makes smartphone flash something you're not afraid to use). I think the 5S excels in the dark where other smartphones create very noisy photos.

Of course it's also nice to have a 120FPS mode for slow motion video, and the new burst mode works incredibly well!

A lot of people tend to go for a camera which has a high MP (Megapixel) on it.

But a higher MP doesnt really mean you get a better shot, and sometimes its overkill having too many MP on a camera.

Especially a Mobile Phone, most people don't need a high MP as they wont be blowing the picture up more then probably a standard photo size.

I think smartphones are more the capable of doing great photography as we tend to use more advanced technology then what we need it for, look at computers for example

So my advice really depends on what situation you are in.

The HTC's are really good for low light situations but do not have huge MP's for bigger panning and different colours.

The Galaxy S4 has a higher MP but also have a decent fps to capture those quicker moving images.

I haven't looked into the tablet market though, but I am confident that there are a few tablets out there with the process power to have high frame-per-second as well as megapixel capability.
